Home Decoration

I made this cute little decoration yesterday. I started with an old shelf that I got at a scrapbooking store that had these little dividers in it for jewelry. Then I took some pictures that were wallet sized and two that were 4x6 and just went at it. I am very happy with how it turned out! If you like what you see, and want to have one ordered, check out my Facebook page, or email me! Enjoy!

Laundry Room sign

I made this sign prior to my graduation party, for the sole reason to cover up the hole that is behind it from my fathers head. He got angry one night and just slammed it into the wall, causing there to be a bit of a hole. Knowing that it looked kind of trashy just sitting there in the laundry room, I decided to change it up a little bit and get creative. My boyfriend took the old barn board that is the back part of the board, and some old trim and screwed it around the outside of the old board. Then he took the barbed wire that was sitting around in the basement, and stapled it onto the back of the boards. Just perfect for what I wanted to do with it. Now, I decided what I wanted to put on it for words, and cut out the letters in regular scrap paper from my cricut. After that was done, I arranged them how I wanted them to be, and then cut it out of contact vinyl paper that is made for the cricut. As you can see, the sign is not completely finished, but after you put a little Modge Podge on it, and clean it up a bit, I think it is a beautiful sign to be left in my bath room! Enjoy!

Passing of loved ones

Last summer, my boyfriend's (of three years :)) grandfather passed away. He was very sick, and everyone knew it was coming, but the grief in that family has not yet ended today. While I was helping with funeral arrangements, I tried to think of something creative that I thought would help them mourn. This picture frame was very simple to make. I picked out which quote I wanted, typed it up on the computer, did a test run with a regular piece of paper, then ran a scrapbooking piece of paper through. It printed out beautifully and his family loved it. I hope you like the quote as much as I do. Enjoy!

Baby Gifts

So, last summer two of my friends had babies. I took this opportunity as a chance to come up with some cute, creative gift for the new bounds of joy coming into life. I was very excited with my turn out, I came up with cute bows that I made from my BOWDABRA (state fair steal) that had a baby cloth, baby spoon, and other creative little things in it. I also put it together with a paci clip, that I made myself (for under two dollars) and little baby things all thrown together in a cute little basket with a hand made card. Enjoy!

Banner Love!

During the school year, I had a fedish with making banners. I made lots and lots of them, ranging from birthday, to graduation, to congratulations, to baby girl banners. Each and every single banner that I made was new and creative itself. I made the one in the picture for a teacher of mine's daughters birthday. She LOVED it! I was so happy with it that I couldn't help but share it with you! Enjoy!

Graduation Centerpieces

When it came time for graduation and my party, I knew that almost all of my stuff was going to be homemade. Not only is it cheaper, but it is fun for me, and I get to make more stuff to impress my friends. I made these homemade centerpieces by putting paper towels in the bottom of different shaped vases, then taking an assortment of flowers, frilly things from Dollar General, Hobby Lobby, and Walmart, and odds and ends I found while shopping and putting them in the vases. The paper towels made the decorations stay in place very well, however in the end I had to add sand to them for them to hold on the table outside during my windy party. These centerpieces were the talk of my graduation party, and everyone loved them! I was also very proud to say that they were my own creation! Enjoy!

Nursery Decoration #2

Knowing that my little cousin's second birthday was coming up, I knew I would just have to make something homemade for her, so I looked around for what I had laying around in my office to come up with something. I decided to come up with a birth announcement for her and see how it goes. I was very pleased with how it turned out, and I am sure I will make more then one of these, when the next opportunity comes about! Enjoy!
